Project Description
Learning, Serving and Leading are the permanent features in our yearly duats training programme. This year’s programme was once again held at the M.A. Motala Islamic Centre, Wyebank, South Africa. It took place from 1-7 October 2023. Moulana Habib Milanzi was a key note speaker during the opening of the programme. The SADN is one of 7 collaborating organisations that has participated in this programme for the past 19 years. All SALA preceding programs have had approximately 50 delegates, but this year, the number went up to 60. The delegates (males and females) descended to South Africa from Tanzania, Swaziland, Lesotho, Malawi, Zambia and Mozambique. The 7-day programmes was characterized by presentations from various facilitators. Topics covered were Public speaking, First Aid training, Comparative religion, Innovative Dawah Strategies, madressa syllabus, zakaat calculations etc. One of the other annual feature in the programme is the Dawah Outreach. This year the Dawah Outreach was held at an Old Age Home. Through our generous donors we managed to distribute 100 mealie meals and 5 wheelchairs. The program concluded on the 7th October 2023.
